A fully booked riding school is a school that has stopped growing

« We are full, we turn people away. » In an owner's mouth, that sentence sounds like a victory. It should sound like an alarm.

Full is not a goal, it is a ceiling

When you are fully booked, three invisible things happen. First, your prices are probably too low : if demand permanently exceeds supply, the market is telling you something. Second, you are turning away riders you will never see again. Third, you have no idea how many.

What the businesses that grow actually do

The question that changes everything : how many people did you turn away this year, on which slots, for which levels ? If you cannot answer, you are not full, you are blind.

Turning people away, yes. Blindly, no.

There is nothing wrong with being full : it proves your work is good. The problem is being full without knowing what of. The day a family moves away, you fill the place from a list, not from luck.
