5 concrete levers to fill your lessons all year round

How full a yard is does not get decided in September : it gets decided every week, slot by slot. Here are five concrete levers, from the quickest to the most structural, all tested on the ground.

1. Put your timetable online where people can see it

A family that is hesitating rarely books by phone : they look, they compare, and they book in the evening, when the yard is closed. A timetable they can consult online, with the remaining places visible, turns Sunday-evening browsers into Wednesday riders. It is the best effort-to-result lever there is.

2. Open booking to visiting riders

Holidaymakers, riders away from home, former pupils back in the area : these are exactly the people who fill the slots your regulars leave empty. They just have to be able to find you and book without making three phone calls.

3. Turn on waiting lists

Every « sorry, we are full » said on the phone is data lost. With a waiting list, a Tuesday-evening cancellation automatically becomes a family's Wednesday morning, without you making a single call.

4. Send automatic reminders (and cut no-shows)

A slot booked but not turned up for is worse than an empty one : it blocked somebody else's place. A simple automatic reminder the day before melts no-shows away, and every no-show avoided is a place genuinely filled.

5. Look at how full each slot really is

« We are more or less full » is the most expensive sentence in the industry. A table of occupancy by day and by hour almost always reveals the same thing : two overloaded slots hiding three that are struggling. Move one lesson, split another, close the third : those small decisions, taken on real numbers, are worth all the flyers in the world.
